TOKiMONSTA – Let Me Trick U
We double up on the recent news of Ramp Recordings’ label showcase in London, with a free track from TOKiMONSTA, L.A. based producer who will be doing a live PA at the showcase as well as releasing on the label in the near future.
For those new to the name, TOKiMONSTA has been championed by the likes of MAH and Gilles Peterson on BBC and rolls with the Brainfeeder collective out in L.A. She’ll also be at the 2010 RBMA in London and is definitely a name to keep an eye and ear out for, particularly if you’ve been a fan of the recent output from L.A producers like Flying Lotus, Ras G, Take, and Teebs to name a few.
Ramp have very kindly given us a track from her forthcoming release for the label, titled ‘Cosmic Intoxication’. Entitled ‘Let Me Trick U’, it’s appropriately got a spooky vibe with a haunting vocal loop – lovely stuff and the perfect way to raise the anticipation for both the gig and the release itself.
