Hey, thanks for the kind comment. I'll make sure he sees it. The SC account was closed for a variety of reasons. As you can read here the project was intended as an experiment of sorts and so it's better like this. Big up!

Many many many months ago I hit up PDK on SoundCloud not knowing anything about the PDK project except his SoundCloud account that I had stumbled on looking for footwork tracks. I was playing Smartbar soon in support of Girl Unit and I was dying for a playable copy of the Circles edit. I had zero idea about PDK's true identity. The downloads were maxed and I emailed PDK asking for a copy telling him I was also going to use it in a mix. I am pretty sure PDK gave me download access the same day.

Flash forward to now and I had just finished a different mix, largely inspired by a lot of what was on Volume 2. It's all DEEP footwork stuff, and I wanted to say thanks to PDK for making the mix possible since I used three of his tunes. I went to soundcloud and the PDK account was gone. Which seemed odd because I had just purchased the Kuhn remix a few weeks ago. I thought maybe one of the jungle labels got pissed at the edits and forced the account down.

Then I google PDK looking for some other contact information and I end up on this page. I'm pretty much floored to learn what was really behind this project. I don't know if this comment will ever get to Om Unit, but if it does, thank you for being one of the inspirations that led to one of my better mixes. And thank you for sharing these great edits.

Dan, not sure about that comment tbh - I'm feelin' Juke (and it's inspiration), and being an original Junglist way back, combining the two styles seems a natural way forward to me; and it definitely reflects a new era. It has a lot of scope for originality moving forward, taking the vibe of Jungle (along with other genres) and injecting it into a fresh and original 21st Century style. For some reason (of course not all) Jungle 'aficionados' seem to be over precious about 'their' music, when it was originally a 'magpie' genre itself - and that was what made it fresh and forward thinking. Om Unit is known (and respected) within the bassosphere anyway, so I def don't think it was some kind of cheap plan or in any way contrived :) I really like these remixes - they don't improve on the originals (doubt that was the aim!) - they invigorate them for a different audience with new perspectives.

Milwaukee? Isn't this the same clown that was reppin' brooklyn on his myspace page not too long ago? I thought I noticed cheesie in his tired, soulless garbage. I'd hide my mug in the shadows too if I put out crap like this.
