<itunes:summary>Born in 2005 from the ashes of Turntable Radio and helmed by Mr Trick and Waxfactor, Rhythm Incursions started life as a radio show airing music that 'picked up where hip hop stopped'. Since then it has evolved to continue its mission and today - in a world where hip hop has evolved to embrace its mutations that were the exceptions rather than the norm only a few years ago - it provides discerning music for discerning ears with monthly shows and guest mixes from hand picked worldwide DJs, producers and labels. The Rhythm Incursions presenting team now includes Primus Luta and DDay One from the USA, Raid System from Tokyo and Laurent Fintoni from London as well as two exclusive guest mix series curated by Friends of Friends and Raid System. We love the music we play and we think you will too.</itunes:summary>

Another month, another show and we made it just in time this month despite my best intentions. To be fair I did fracture my wrist two weeks ago which is probably the best excuse I’ve had for a late show (look out for those potholes if you’re cycling around town at night!). Following beautifully from our RIPL and RIRS shows earlier in the month I’m very happy to bring another 2 hours of fresh new music and classics selected especially for you, and with the summer on our doorstep round here this month’s selection is on the slightly sunny side.

There was a lot of music to go through for the show this month, so much I had to leave about 10 odd tracks out. We have new and forthcoming bits from the likes of Mochilla and Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Kode 9, Ramp Recordings, Swede:art, DJ Nate, Mount Kimbie, Terror Danjah, Afta1, Goth Trad, Ichiro_, Africa Hitech, Andrea Triana, Skyence and many more. Alongside all this new music this month’s mini feature takes a look at the legendary Berghain nightclub, one of Berlin’s most well known clubbing institution. It’s not often we cover techno or techno related music on this show but this month I really felt some light needed to be shone on the latest Berghain mix CD which is out now mixed by Ben Klock. Along with it came three singles, a track from each of which we’ve put in our mini feature. This is an ideal way to become acquainted with what’s been happening lately on the techno side of things especially if like me you like some techno stuff you’ve heard but aren’t an avid fan. Those who know may not hear anything new but I’d be willing to bet that most of our listeners are probably not too up on their techno. Hopefully this mini feature helps to show a good selection of what’s out there with a killer track from Martyn which has been a firm favourite of mine for the last month.

As always the show is available to download and stream below and directly via our newsletter, RSS and iTunes feeds (links in the righthand column). Full tracklist below with links to all the websites and where you can buy the music.

That’s it for June, stay tuned for our regular shows in July alongside some tasty guest mixes which we’ll be announcing very soon. Oh and a long overdue site revamp!

We’ve been quieter than usual this month, but that hasn’t stopped music coming in by the bucket load into our inbox. 2009 already started on a high (see last month’s podcast for more on that) and it’s not showing any signs of stopping with labels and artists gearing up for the first quarter of the year with a lot of interesting projects and releases.

As with January, this month’s show comes with just 2 days left in the month but we reckon the wait’s been worth it. We’ve got lots of new stuff and a few bonus, exclusive treats too. We have new material from Robert Logan, Equinox Records, Bullion, 1000 Names, Mr Scruff, Yppah, Two Fingers, Computer Jay, Uncle Lew, Mr Beatnick and more. And we’ve also got a mini feature on the Warp label, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year with a string of releases including a new Prefuse 73 album and quite a few more which are yet to be officially announced.

So strap up and get comfy for 70 minutes of audio goodness. And stay tuned as March will see the return of fellow presenter Dday One and a few guest mixes including one from Parisian producer Onra and more to be announced soon.

Enjoy!

<itunes:summary>We've been quieter than usual this month, but that hasn't stopped music coming in by the bucket load into our inbox. 2009 already started on a high (see last month's podcast for more on that) and it's not showing any signs of stopping with labels and artists gearing up for the first quarter of the year with a lot of interesting projects and releases.

As with January, this month's show comes with just 2 days left in the month but we reckon the wait's been worth it. We've got lots of new stuff and a few bonus, exclusive treats too. We have new material from Robert Logan, Equinox Records, Bullion, 1000 Names, Mr Scruff, Yppah, Two Fingers, Computer Jay, Uncle Lew, Mr Beatnick and more. And we've also got a mini feature on the Warp label, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year with a string of releases including a new Prefuse 73 album and quite a few more which are yet to be officially announced.

So strap up and get comfy for 70 minutes of audio goodness. And stay tuned as March will see the return of fellow presenter Dday One and a few guest mixes including one from Parisian producer Onra and more to be announced soon.

Enjoy!

HELLO ALL! REMEMBER ME?!?

OK – let’s get back to business here: a new show from yours truly, hopefully to continue in the regular format I promised before life got a bit crazy and reality bit in with work, amongst other things. There’s a raft of goodness to check out on this show, including new material from King Midas Sound (aka The Bug & Roger Robinson), Flying Lotus, Tragedy & Raekwon, Jackson Conti and more. So, don’t delay: grab the show, pump the sound on your player of choice all the way up to 11 and don’t be scared to dance like a mentalist. God knows that Nosaj Thing remix gets me moving in a curious, herky-jerky way…
