So after a two month hiatus partly due to earthquakes and other natural disasters we’re back with a regular Rhythm Incursions podcast, unsurprisingly shock full of new music and exclusives as I try and work my way through the backlog accumulated in the last two months.

Over two hours we cover a lot of ground this month with new and forthcoming music from Machinedrum, Cardopusher, Anti-G, Mr Beatnick, Neon Jung, Mark E, Downliners Sekt, Tom Trago, Jon Wayne, Africa Hitech, Shabazz Palaces, Com Truise, DZA, Eliot Lipp, LV and Joshua Idehen, Ossie and much more. We’ve also got some sneak peek exclusives from NastyNasty, Machinedrum’s Juke/Footwork project, our old friend from Amsterdam Coco B, Klic and a few others. Also on this month’s show a preview of the forthcoming Greensleeves dubstep remixes, with The Bug and Goth Trad. As I said a lot to showcase and a varied two hour ride into the freshest sounds we’ve been blessed to receive recently.

As hinted on our twitter last week, we’re very happy to bring you a world premiere this fine Monday morning in the shape of a celebratory mix from the Project Mooncircle label. What’s the celebration? The label’s 50th release, a worthy landmark of achievement for a small, indie label that has always stuck to its guns and not compromised its aims and music over its 7 years of existence. And considering the way the music industry has been going in the last decade, said landmark is even more worthy of celebration.

So with all this mind, Gordon and the whole crew have put together a retrospective mix celebrating the label’s 50 releases and featuring music from 30 artists who have each graced the label at one point or another in time, from MC/producers such as MF Doom, John Robinson and Lewis Parker to forward thinking producers such as 40 Winks, Jahbitat, Robot Koch, Lambent and Mr. Cooper. Also included in the mix are previews of new releases from Obba Suppa and Japanese beat maker Kan Sano.

The whole thing is lovely mixed and put together by the PMC crew and comes with special made artwork which the crew put together on a wall in Berlin at night last week. So without further ado I’ll leave you with some words from the PMC crew and a link to d/l or stream the mix. As Gordon pointed out when we were talking last week, Rhythm Inc was the first show on European airwaves to air PMC’s music 6 years ago when Trick and Waxfactor started on Resonance FM and I remembered discovering them and the Beta Bodega coalition thanks to the show, so it’s a real pleasure and honour to be there again 7 years on to celebrate the label’s achievements.
