Since then it has evolved to continue its mission and today - in a world where hip hop has evolved to embrace its mutations that were the exceptions rather than the norm only a few years ago - it provides discerning music for discerning ears with monthly shows and guest mixes from hand picked worldwide DJs, producers and labels. The Rhythm Incursions presenting team now includes Primus Luta and DDay One from the USA, Raid System from Tokyo and Laurent Fintoni from London as well as two exclusive guest mix series curated by Friends of Friends and Raid System. No doubt most of you are already aware of the Mr Trick and Wrongtom show, not least because it spawned from Rhythm Incursions after Tom appeared as a special guest back in February last year. Now coming as a monthly show (for now, while efforts are made to secure a decent slot on FM radio), you can download MP3s of each installment from Trick’s own blog.

The aim of the Trick n’ Tom show is slightly different to Rhythm Inc, in that it tries to challenge listeners to hear artists, styles and genres they may not otherwise have checked out. So, in this case that means music from Albert King, RQM, Ashley Beedle, Harry Belafonte, Linval Thompson, Mr Chop and more. Its not about the music you know… its about the music you DON’T know!
