<itunes:summary>Born in 2005 from the ashes of Turntable Radio and helmed by Mr Trick and Waxfactor, Rhythm Incursions started life as a radio show airing music that 'picked up where hip hop stopped'. Since then it has evolved to continue its mission and today - in a world where hip hop has evolved to embrace its mutations that were the exceptions rather than the norm only a few years ago - it provides discerning music for discerning ears with monthly shows and guest mixes from hand picked worldwide DJs, producers and labels. The Rhythm Incursions presenting team now includes Primus Luta and DDay One from the USA, Raid System from Tokyo and Laurent Fintoni from London as well as two exclusive guest mix series curated by Friends of Friends and Raid System. We love the music we play and we think you will too.</itunes:summary>

We’ve been quieter than usual this month, but that hasn’t stopped music coming in by the bucket load into our inbox. 2009 already started on a high (see last month’s podcast for more on that) and it’s not showing any signs of stopping with labels and artists gearing up for the first quarter of the year with a lot of interesting projects and releases.

As with January, this month’s show comes with just 2 days left in the month but we reckon the wait’s been worth it. We’ve got lots of new stuff and a few bonus, exclusive treats too. We have new material from Robert Logan, Equinox Records, Bullion, 1000 Names, Mr Scruff, Yppah, Two Fingers, Computer Jay, Uncle Lew, Mr Beatnick and more. And we’ve also got a mini feature on the Warp label, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year with a string of releases including a new Prefuse 73 album and quite a few more which are yet to be officially announced.

So strap up and get comfy for 70 minutes of audio goodness. And stay tuned as March will see the return of fellow presenter Dday One and a few guest mixes including one from Parisian producer Onra and more to be announced soon.

Enjoy!

This month’s show comes literally in the nick of time, with less than 24 hours to go before we hit February. Still the benefit of a slight delay combined with the beginning of the new year is that we have a ridiculous amount of new music to go through this month, and I mean a lot.

One month in, and 2009 is already shaping up to be an interesting year with some really decent full length releases in the first few months of the year, most of which are highlighted in this month’s show. From L.A to Australia, England to Japan the show takes in new tracks from the likes of Exile, Filastine, Harmonic 313, Jneiro Jarel, Sleeper, Ras G, Two Fingers (aka Amont Tobin, Sway and Doublick) and Lukid among others. Most of these guys have got new releases out now or forthcoming in the next few months, so if you like what you hear be sure to check the links and support the artists.

To top all this freshness we also have a mini-feature on a Rhythm Incursions favourite, DJ Signify. His new album, ‘Of Cities,’ is being released on Bully Records this month and to celebrate we’re airing a couple of tracks, including a really tasty Aesop Rock collabo, as well as my favourite track from his previous LP on Lex.

So if all this isn’t enough to convince you to tune in then I’m not quite sure what will. Seriously. Download and tracklist are below as usual. And stay tuned for more guest mixes in February as well as Trick’s first show of the year and more regular shows from our fine roster of presenters.

<itunes:summary>This month's show comes literally in the nick of time, with less than 24 hours to go before we hit February. Still the benefit of a slight delay combined with the beginning of the new year is that we have a ridiculous amount of new music to go through this month, and I mean a lot.

One month in, and 2009 is already shaping up to be an interesting year with some really decent full length releases in the first few months of the year, most of which are highlighted in this month's show.

His new album, 'Of Cities,' is being released on Bully Records this month and to celebrate we're airing a couple of tracks, including a really tasty Aesop Rock collabo, as well as my favourite track from his previous LP on Lex.

So if all this isn't enough to convince you to tune in then I'm not quite sure what will. Seriously. Download and tracklist are below as usual. And stay tuned for more guest mixes in February as well as Trick's first show of the year and more regular shows from our fine roster of presenters.
