The last show of the month sees the return of our regular podcast, following the missed October show due to this little thing called life getting in the way. Both Primus Luta and myself missed October, though Raid System held the fort alongside DDay One. Primus came back earlier this month with a bumper 2 hour show and this show does much the same with a lot of forthcoming and exclusive bits and a look over some of my favourites in recent months.

This month we also have a mini feature on the excellent Scientist Launches Dubstep Into Outer Space release, forthcoming on Tectonic on the 6th of December. For the occasion we’re showcasing three tracks from the release, and don’t forget you can download the Guido dub in our download section still. The album is killer and I recommend you go cop it when it’s out, definitely the dubstep release of the year.

On top of this we’ve got new music from Sam IRL, The Bug, Kidkanevil, Jacques Greene, Lunice, Bomb Zombies, AD Bourke, Wrongtom, Dbridge & Instra:mental, BD 1982, 1000 Names and more as well as previews of forthcoming releases from Mophono, Salva, Floating Points Ensemble, Andreya Triana, Sepalcure, Exit Records, Illum Sphere and more.

Lastly as is now the norm for November we have our first label of the year mini feature, looking at the work of Planet Mu. Now Mu’s output this year has been extensive, and of outstanding quality in many ways, so rather than a thorough mini feature I’ve opted for a 3 track taster of some of my favourite releases of theirs including Vex’d, Rudi Zygadlo and DJ Roc. Be sure to go and check the rest though including killer tracks from FaltyDL, Oriol, Rossi B and Luca, DJ Nate, DJ Rashad and more. Check their website for all releases and links of where to buy.

I’ve also realised that this month’s show marks the 2 year anniversary of my officially presenting the Rhythm Incursions show, taking over from Mr Trick. Unintentionally this month is also the first time the show comes at you in a semi live format, that is it was recorded in one take on Serato as opposed to the usual Ableton prerecorded sessions. As a result the audio is a little rougher than usual, especially because my set up is in transit and I’ll be hopefully getting a new, shinier set up in the coming month. Still I hope the small technical hiccups don’t distract from the music too much and do let us know your feedback in the comments.

After nearly a week of blue, planeless skies here in London I guess we can confidently say that spring has arrived – and hopefully summer isn’t too far behind. So as we do every month let us celebrate with some music and another 2 hours of new, upcoming, old and unreleased bits for discerning ears.

On the show this month we’ve got new and forthcoming music from B-Ju, Ras G, Robot Koch Lando Kal, Lorn, Jahcoozi, FaltyDL, Om Unit, Letherette, Uncle Lew, Alex B, Take, Deru, LV and Quarta330, Shigeto, Skitz, Tokimonsta, Space Invadas, Yosi Horikawa, Dimlite and more alongside some favourites of recent times from RSD, James Blake, Uyama Hiroto, Mount Kimbie, Daisuke Tanabe and Flying Lotus among others.

This month’s mini feature meanwhile looks at the work of Japanese producer O.N.O. Probably best know as the producer for Tha Blue Herb, one of Japan’s most famous rap crews, and hailing from the northern island of Hokkaido, O.N.O has also been releasing under his name as a solo artist for well over ten years now. And it’s his work as a solo artist that’s always fascinated me since I discovered him thanks to Waxfactor about five years ago. This mini feature aims to shine a little light on the man’s incredible production range which runs from hip hop to dub, jungle to house, ambient to abstract and at times crazy electronic music. The constant in a lot of his music is his use of machines to create the sounds, something which really takes meaning when you see his live shows (youtube here and here) where equipped with 2 MPCs, a sequencer and effects units he puts on one of the most fascinating and enjoyable live electronic music shows I’ve ever seen. On the mini feature we’ve got 4 tracks from releases spanning most of his solo career and which as I said gives a nice idea of his diverse output. For more on the man check his website and those of you in/around Tokyo can catch him playing with Flying Lotus for a Tokyo Brainfeeder session soon – hopefully this might help shine some more light on his work outside Japan.

We return with another 2 hours of musical goodness, in time for Spring’s first glimpses too. Well I say that but now the weather has turned bad again here in the UK so maybe we spoke too soon. Still you can find solace in this month’s show thanks to a rather tasty line up of new and forthcoming music as well as a few exclusives thrown in for good measure.

This month we take a closer look at the All City Records label, a long time favourite here at Rhythm Inc towers. This year they’ve really stepped up their game with a follow up to their 2008 Beatstrumental 7″ series in the shape of the L.A 10×10 series (more on that here including some freebies) as well as a string of LPs, 12s and 7s from worldwide artists that reads like a who’s who of people we like: Onra, Devonwho, Muhsinah, and more. All of which warrants a mini feature and no doubt you’ll continue to see the label in our tracklist throughout the year (and most likely in our best of 2010 as well).

Alongside this we’ve got music from James Blake, Tom Trago, Bonobo, Free the Robots, Funki Porcini, Himuro Yoshitery, Mweslee, Shigeto, Mux Mool, FaltyDL, Gonjasufi and many many more. Oh and we’ve also got the world premiere (no lie) of the Shigeto remix of Om Unit’s ‘The Corridor’ a truly beautiful number that should see light of day in a few months as part of the digital release for the EP of the same name.

We return to the more ‘regular’ Rhythm Incursions shows this week, and with both Trick and Waxfactor unfortunately otherwise engaged and unable to step up as they normally do (real life’s crazy like that!) I’m strapping on my presenter goggles and bringing you an hour of fresh new music. Considering it’s been about 2 months since the last show, there’s quite a few bits to get stuck into from the likes of Mochipet, Mighty Joseph, Uncle Lew, Nosaj Thing, Mweslee, Dilla, Samiyam and Free The Robots. Oh and we’ve got a mini-feature on the excellent Various Production too.

I was lucky enough to be travelling for the last couple of months, and the contents of the show reflect that to some extent, with quite a few tracks from people I hooked up with during my travels. Same goes for the Various Production mini-feature, with a taste of things to come from them as well as a look at some of their recent releases. Elsewhere we’ve got a brand new track from the recent ‘One Year and A Day’ compilation on Equinox, a track from the excellent 7×7 series on the Irish All City Records, Samiyam on Kode 9′s ever evolving Hyperdub label and RI favourite The Bug with another track from his recent ‘London Zoo’ album which we really can’t recommend enough.
